Known as the designer of the Coconut Chair, the Bubble Lamps, and the Marshmallow Sofa, George Nelson was also a prolific writer, architect, and teacher who shaped the course of design in America for over four decades. To preserve his legacy, the George Nelson Foundation was founded to advance a broader understanding of Nelson's role in 20th century design.
